Most of my time at Sandia was focused on supporting the United States Nuclear Detonation (NUDET) Detection System (USNDS). Supporting this mission allowed me the opportunity of filling many roles including CI/CD pipeline development/management, engineering solution architectures and conducting cost-benefit analyses of different candidate configurations. The work required a ‘ Q’ Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance to access Top Secret Restricted Data on air gapped network. Operating under these circumstances fostered an environment that required me to be creative with only DOE approved technologies. This often meant implementing our own versions of organically developed solutions. I operated across multiple operating systems daily.
